To practice R/C flying a membership should be registered at QRCSC and license should be obtained after passing the test. Training courses are offered when
needed.

Following the global safety guidelines, and Qatar local cultures and laws, R/C flying must not be practiced under the influence of alcohol or other drugs or medications that might negatively affect the consciousness. Any violation of the same will lead to legal consequences.

Only allowed frequencies are to be used. It’s prohibited to use any frequency that might interfere, jam, or affect other frequencies used by the state,
unless a temporary prior permission is granted.

Airfield Instructions

Safety rules must be highly prioritized at all times, and under no circumstances pilots may fly their models above audience, car parking or buildings.

Members should liaise with and adhere to the runway safety officer for take-offs, landings,maximum airplanes that can be airborne at the
same time.

Manned aircraft are not allowed to use the runway for any purposes. QRCSC take no responsibility of such activities, and it shall be reported to Air Safety Dep. of
QCAA immediately

R/C pylon racers with speed of 200+ kmh shall be flown in designated areas only.

The following specifications must be followed for all models to meet the technical standards published by Qatar R/C Sport Center and international regulations

• fuselage length and wingspan shall not exceed 4.5.m
• Max. weight for any model is 25 kg

For privacy reasons, It’s prohibited to fly R/C models / drones equipped with camera in public or near private properties. Any violation will lead to legal penalties as per the Privacy law 33/2017.

FOR SAFETY REASON, it’s not allowed to fly R/C models near any human within a radius of 35 meters, to avoid accidents in case of crash.

It’s strictly illegal to fly R/C models / drones near or above (airports, high ways, power plants, high voltage lines, military locations). Any violations of the same will .lead to serious legal action.

R/C Cars are not allowed to be operated in public streets or road. But to be used only in designated arenas or specific locations with prior permission from QRCSC.

R/C boats are not allowed to be operated in any inhabited beaches. But to be used only in designated arenas or specific locations with prior permission from
QRCSC.

For yours and others safety, It’s not allowed to fly R/C models without a valid license. Any violation will lead to legal consequences.

For junior members (below 14 years):

• R/C flying is allowed only under the supervision of an adult companion who holds a valid license from QRCSC.

Authorized locations to fly R/C

• QRCSC Airfield in Um Thnaitain
• Uninhabited areas assigned by QRCSC and agreed on by the local authorities
• Areas with temporary prior permission from local authorities
